I have received no emails since Friday 13/05/16.
Any idea what's going on and when the service is returning?

@Anonymous O2 have been gradually shutting down their mail servers since September 2013. Ample time for you to have moved to a different email client. You would have been sent notification of this. If you do a search in the forum or on Google you can get more information.

This is a message I received from Toby, Head of Community on 28/11/15:
'Thanks for being patient throughout the discussion of this topic. Unfortunately, the O2 Webmail service suffered a technical issue recently that inpacted some customers however, that should be resolved now.
The issue was not linked to closure of webmail accounts. If your webmail account was closing as a result of the Sky/O2 deal, you'd have been notified already with plenty of time to transfer any communication linked to your webmail account somewhere else e.g. Gmail, Oullook or Yahoo, etc. If you migrated your Home Broadbank account to Sky, your O2 webmail account will continue yo remain active'.
So I expect my webmail account to remaim active. And I repeat what is going on?

@Anonymous I refer you to the link I posted earlier. The message you received from Toby was prior to the date of the link, and he may not have been aware that the shutdown was imminent at that point. This is a customer to customer forum. If you have a query, send @Toby or @Martin-O2 a PM, or contact Sky. O2 webmail is shutting down forever. You can also contact O2 customer service, but you'll get the same answer. http://www.o2.co.uk/contactus

Bambino - Many thanks for the information. Up to very recently I have had all my O2 webmail transferred to Sky,Yahoo. And without any problems whatsoever. So reading the link, it would seem that I need to change the transfer to either Gmail or Outlook. And I need to do this before 07/06/16. Shame we are never informed what's happening. Good job I checked. Fishtank.

Sorry to have been the bearer of bad tidings @Anonymous.
If you can't access your mail, you may be in for more bad news if you haven't moved your contacts and saved mails elsewhere by now. I'm not 100% sure about that, though, so it's best you check with customer service, or maybe someone else here, maybe @MI5 may know. Good luck.:smileywink:

Thanks for all your recent help, but I'm still a bit confused. Have just created a Gmail account and I have arranged O2 webmail to transfer all emails to Gmail - as suggested in the link. Then I sent a test email to O2 and the transfer did not work. I previously set up transfers to Sky, Yahoo and they were going through fine. I'm not technical but it looks as though webmail is not working at all at present. I thought we were looking at a June cut off date. I can still access O2 webmail without any problem, but no good if I can't send or receive anything.

So now I have now worked out that I can still use my O2 webmail to SEND out email. However, no INCOMING emails are arriving. Properly tested ! Does anyone have an answer?
