ok, am totally confused by O2 pricing. Went to carphone warehouse, with the intention of upgrading both of my O2 pay monthly phones, and it turns out that if I upgrade, it will cost me more than if I take a new number on a new contract. A new Google Pixel 3A on a new contract is £24 a month, but if I upgrade, and keep the same number, it is £28 per month, and £29.99 up front. Can someone tell me why?, because I am seriously considering taking both numbers to another network

@Mauler19

You'd need to ask CPW why as it's their pricing structure you are questioning, but the bottom line is that they get more commission for new contracts over upgrades so try harder with them.

You can still take a new contract and migrate your old number to it.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Thanks for the reply. The reason I asked here, is that they told me its down to O2, but I understand where you are coming from
