No data coverage in the KT20 area

Anonymous

Can anyone at O2 advise when the 'data mast' will be fixed in the KT20 area?  Service has been very poor for over a week now and the 'service status checker' on the O2 website has been displaying the same message of "sorry, a mast in your area is not working" since 27/11/2015.  Will there be data service for Christmas???

We wouldn't know and O2 don't publish that info either unfortunately.
All you can do is request text updates from CS to keep you informed of work.

You could download My Network app and report issues through that http://www.o2.co.uk/apps/my-network

Depending on the reasons why there is a fault / maintenance it's usually 1 to 2 weeks.
In rare occasions it's longer but generally not.
All you can do is wait until service is restored.
Once fixed, if you call CS you may get a small goodwill gesture of compensation for the downtime also.

There is no point trying to get compo until the fault is fixed as you don't know how long you need to be compensated for.

Paying off the handset part of your contract and changing network might be an option if you are on a Refresh contract. If this has been going on for months, that is the way I would be going.
