Moved from monthly contract to PAYG

Always a nightmare dealing with O2 customer service whether it be in person or over the phone. I moved from monthly contract to PAYG. Received my SIM card 3 days ago. Inserted it on Saturday as requested by o2 and I'm still awaiting for my number to be transferred over to the new SIM.

Now bear in mind that I was told I would encounter NO disruption and everything would go smoothly. 

Still waiting. No help. No answers. They never put me through the correct department.

You'll have to keep trying O2 unfortunately.

Did this ever get resolved?

 

I've been on the phone to O2 for 4 days now trying to get my number moved across before I leave the country next week and I'm getting absolutely nowhere

There probably is not much point in you filing a complaint in those circumstances as that will inevitably take some time to resolve. 

The advice often given by others on this forum is to try calling Customer services at 8.10am or thereabouts. That can lead to your call being taken by a customer advisor based in the UK, which sometimes results in a more positive outcome.
