So Uswitch have revealed that O2 has been voted the Mobile Network with the best coverage, confirmed by  Ofcom, complete with snazzy video that I cannot find on YouTube yet...

Who'd've thought it...? hear_no_evil

Well not me for a kick off. Particularly with all the complaints we had when TuGo went along with many O2 customers. If O2 has the best coverage who's the worst?

Not in my area. They have probably the best 2G coverage in Oswaldtwistle but EE have by far the best 4G coverage.

I take it all with a pinch of salt. O2 have constantly been awarded best network.

Personally, I think it's to do with the help they get from this forum

.

As for best coverage....that's just a joke.

Are they aware of the amount of people who changed networks when Tugo was discontinued??

Wherever I am at the moment my signal is rubbish. The numbers of calls I have been in the middle of and the signal has gone, is driving me crazy.

they need to get it sorted. The only thing I haven’t tried is a new SIM card.

It’s a good job @MI5 suggested I try out PAYG before committing.. its dreadful round here, and the speeds aren’t much better!

I have to agree. Where I live I get good signal & 4G coverage but if I go anywhere else it’s hit & miss & then I end up relying on WiFi Calling because of the lack of o2 coverage

According to that link, Ofcom only confirmed that O2 had met its targets, it was the public who voted for them as having the best coverage. In the same poll, giffgaff also picked up four awards: “Best Network for Data”, “Best PAYG Network”, “Best Sim Only Network”, and “Network of the Year”. The following link has a complete breakdown of all the latest uSwitch awards:

https://www.uswitch.com/mobiles/broadband-and-mobile-awards/

The problem with those kind of opinion polls, is that the sample size often tends to be quite small compared to the overall population. If anyone’s interested, RootMetrics offer a more meaningful report on how mobile networks are performing:

Edit: this link shows the latest standings for the main networks.
