Just incase anyone is in a situation where they need to make a claim, and you are told to request a usage report from o2. I would highly advise to be very cautious about this. It’s very unreliable and can result in you spending many hours making phone calls, writing emails, and logging into this forum. Pm me if you need advice about it, I will be happy to share my experience if it can save anyone the time and stress I’ve went through!

Sounds like O2 need to take a closer look at the accuracy of the information they keep on the phones they provide service to, @KRB78 - interesting, especially in light of the latest theft stats for Great Britain alone here:

https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Discussions-Feedback/The-rise-of-Mobile-Phone-theft-in-Great-Britain/m...

The PoU is not a Proof of Usage if it does not report the correct handset type, nor if it misreports the last time the handset and SIM were used for a call, text or cellular data transaction.

Thanks for sharing, @KRB78.

Yea it’s really a huge problem, as I’m sure all insurance company’s are using this as a requirement. Nowadays many people only make calls and send their texts  through WhatsApp too so that means it’s data only usage,  which may affect things. I have spend a lot of time on this so will have gained some knowledge. It’s not looking good for O2 at all

Oxonian, Everything ive stated is true but I’ve had to put in a lot of hours work to gather evidence, write emails, prepare letters. It’s been very stressful,  I’ve not slept much this month. I am thankful for Dave's input and just hope o2 do the decent thing, if not it will continue for however long it takes
