I will try and explain it as clearly as I can...here goes!
Someone I know keeps being rung up(they have a landline) by an automated service giving the mobile number of a person they know. This message asks them to ring a certain mobile number, and it also charges them about £4 on their bill.
They feel obliged to accept the call, because it is their son.
They have been trying to find out what it is and who is operating it. I am not sure if it is an O2 service or some other mobile provider.
Can someone please throw some light on it, so I can help them get it stopped.

have a look here and check the number calling. As sheepdog advises, the other option is to reject the calls.
