DOES ANYONE KNOW ABOUT THIS TYPE OF SERVICE???

Anonymous

I will try and explain it as clearly as I can...here goes!

Someone I know keeps being rung up(they have a landline) by an automated service giving the mobile number of a person they know. This message asks them to ring a certain mobile number, and it also charges them about £4 on their bill. Smiley Mad
They feel obliged to accept the call, because it is their son.

They have been trying to find out what it is and who is operating it. I am not sure if it is an O2 service or some other mobile provider.

Can someone please throw some light on it, so I can help them get it stopped.

Many thanks!

have a look here and check the number calling. As sheepdog advises, the other option is to reject the calls.

Hi and thank you for your advice. I will try the link given above, but wondered how to reject the call as there does not seem any way except to hang up when it starts to come through?

Just checking link.

Bye the way, the son's service provider is Virgin Mobile.

Thanks again.

Surely just tell the son not to make reverse charge calls?
