Hi,
If I have a UK O2 number, and im in a EU country i can call for 16p/m and text for 4p/m and receive calls for free. Since it is cheaper than any provider here (in Hungary), im considering to use my O2 number permanently in roaming. But im worried that my friends would get charged international call fees, whenever calling me, despite we are in the same country. So the question is, if somebody calls me from the same EU country as I am roaming in, does he pay for international calling, or is it charged as a local call??

Friends calling you will be charged not thing. Wherever you are in the world any calls will come from their allowance. You on the other hand will be charged international rates for that country unless you use TU over wifi in which case it will be free.

Yes, rereading the original post friends within the country will pay international rates.
