4G around Crewe, Cheshire is an absolute joke. The O2 mast is only up the road but I don’t get anything over 5Mbps download. What are O2 doing to the network for it to be this slow. Speeds on 3G around the same speed it’s a joke.

It could possibly be congestion but check if there is any work going on at your postcode.

All fine on the link you sent me @jonsie but the speeds are shocking. About three months ago I was getting around 15/25Mbps.

This was the last time I checked the 4G speeds on O2 back in April at my home address.

It looks like congestion problems.
I wonder if it would be better very early morning?
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

@jonsie @MI5 Take a look at 3G speeds at almost 8 am almost 20Mbps and 5Mbps on 3G. To me it should be the other way around very strange indeed tbh.

Definitely congestion.

This often gets mentioned in areas of London - everyone sees 4G and assumes that it would be better, but because of the number of phones connected it slows down.

Congestion can be the only explantation from what I can see. I can get better  3G speeds here in some areas of Manchester compared to 4G.

Yes really poor....sometimes it's better to live in more rural areas like Nuneaton. Warwickshire rofl

Sorry couldn't resist that as I never have a problem with 4G...
