4G and WiFi calling

Yesterday I was migrated from Virgin Mobile to O2.

This morning I got a notification that O2 had disabled 4G calling.  I checked WiFi calling and found that it had also been disabled.  It wouldn’t let me enable it.

After a chat with O2 support, I was told these services would be enabled within 24 hours.

I’ve just checked my account and it says:

Your request to activate Wifi and 4G Calling is pending.

Your request to deactivate Wifi and 4G Calling is pending.

🤦‍

Goodness knows what will happen.

@Jaybeeetoo

With Wifi calling you have to contact O2 to activate it on your account first. You can then turn it on via My O2. There may be a delay due to the BH.

We're just customers like you but it sounds as if you need someone to access your account which can't be done from here

Give O2 a call on 202 or 0344 809 0202 (Contract)

Or you can message O2 on social media on Instagram https://o2uk.co/O2CIG), Facebook ( https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter ( https://o2uk.co/O2CTW).

Thank you for replying.

As I stated in my original post, I had contacted O2.  The status is very confusing saying it’s going to be enabled and disabled.

Welcome to the world of O2

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

Finally, after 3 attempts with O2 support, it is finally working.  Hallelujah!

I don’t understand why O2 don’t automatically enable WiFi calling when you join. It would dramatically reduce the number of contacts O2 support get and it would improve customer satisfaction.
