I have been to the US, Cyprus, France and Italy this year. Whilst friends on other networks have got 4G whilst roaming in these places, I never have despite having an iPhone 6s and regularly getting 5G in the UK. Does O2 not have 4G agreements with local mobile providers in those territories?

Very little 4g agreements abroad with o2 and where they currently are only for mobile broadband users.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

O2 really need to do something about their roaming agreements as this once proud network now lags sadly behind the others.
