Hi

First try your sim in another phone to rule out the SIM card.

On the iPhone hold down the Sleep/Wake Button and Home button together until the Apple Logo shows. Then On seeing this Apple Logo release both buttons ,and the iPhone will reset , which has been known to clear most glitches.

Other options are :

Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset Network Settings.

Settings -> General-> Reset -> Reset All Settings.

If no help.

Crate a back up to iTunes and or iCloud.

Then

Settings , general , reset , erase all content and settings.

Then on resetting it up choose to use your back up from iCloud.

Final option is to make an appointment at your most local Apple Store genius bar.

Hook up to itunes and back up all your data.

Restore from new or from backup, your choice.

Gonna need loads more info from you please.
Before we do a reset, describe your problem.
Check for local faults here http://status.o2.co.uk/
and have a read of this thread http://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Pay-Monthly-and-Pay-Go/Self-help-guide-Is-the-network-down-for-me-or-ev...
A reset is a big job and you need to back up first or you will lose everything so should only be done as a last resort.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
