Hi, my daughter's 6S is suddenly not sending texts or able to make calls - but it does work on whatsapp etc on mobile data. It's on auto top up on Pay as you go, she's only 11 and doesn't use it that much, but it needs to work. She can receive texts and calls fine. Any ideas? I'm having trouble getting through to the tech people so thought I'd try here. Many thanks. Sarah

@Sarah6

Go to Settings >General >Software update and ensure the latest software is installed.

Thanks for replies. Updates are done and settings seem fine.

After a tortuous hour on live chat, I gave up in frustration. Discovered that the auto top up it took me 2 hours on live chat to sort out the other month hasn't in fact gone through. So balance was zero. Have topped up manually and despite being informed repeatedly that it's easy to arrange auto top up, the option simply isn't on there - not on my daughter's 02 account and not on my pay monthly one either, although I have managed to join the two accounts together at least. The guy I was speaking to just didn't accept that it wasn't there. When signed in as either of us, the only top up option for the PAYG mobile I'm interested in is a one off. There is no auto option at all, either on desktop site or on the app. I gave up and will just remember to top up manually for now. Life is too short. I might ask someone in a store if I'm passing one day, perhaps they'll get to the bottom of it. Unbelievable that such a simple thing can't be easily sorted. They just keep parroting that it's easy and pasting the steps to auto top up. Sigh. If those steps were anywhere on the account, I would not be wasting so much time talking to them!!
