Today at around 11am I pre-ordered the iPhone se but I have no yet received a confirmation email on when it will be delivered. Is that because it's not yet released?

Have you received any email about your order at all? Have you looked in My O2? If you aren't sure whether the order has gone through then call customer service.

You should get a confirmation of your order but no dispatch details until the end of the month.

You'll get the standard auto confirmation but you'll get a dispatch detail about a day or 2 before the actual release
