I started the process to unlock an iPhone 6 (now out of contract) via the O2 app yesterday

They say a standard 7 days to unlock

2 questions,

1, how long does it usually take the process to complete?

2, do you get any sort of notification when the process is complete?

Regarding the latter, I'm asking do I get notification because the phone isn't in my possession any more, my partner who is currently away now has the phone and she's waiting to use the phone with an EE sim

They will tell you to connect to iTunes but no need, simply put in another network simcard.
