Strange one.

I have my Mum's number logged in my phonebook but every text she sends or call she makes to me comes through as her number rather than 'Mum' as she appears in my phonebook.

When I ring her it comes up as Mum on the screen.

Hi.

Try deleting the contact and re enter it.

Reset by ;

Hold the Top Button and Home Button until the Apple Logo appears, and then let go of both. Your iPhone will reset.

check you don't have her listed elsewhere or her number under a different entry in your contacts.

Heh Guys,

Tried both of these options and it hasn't resolved the issue.

I've had 1 or 2 gremlins recently linked to a shared Apple ID so am wondering if it's linked to that.

It only appears to affect 2 numbers in my entire contacts book.

Anything "in common" with the 2 numbers in question that may be different from the other contacts on your phone.....?

I don't know if this makes any difference but do you back up your contacts to iCloud?

A solution may be to back up all contacts to iCloud, reset your phone and then restore it from back up and your contacts will all come back and hopefully that will help.
