Hi @Anonymous

Give customer services a call http://www.o2.co.uk/contactus and if it's a known scam they will reimburse you.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Just for future reference, it's always wise to check any number you're going to dial before doing it. Unfortunately it does sound like it might be a scam, and I hope you get reimbursed. Although I don't think O2 have to necessarily reimburse you as you dialled the number willingly.

Btw, could u tell us what the number was at all? Might be useful for ppl in the future
