International texts or MMS messages aren't included in unlimited tariffs https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Other-Products-and-Services/Accidental-MMS-Sending-and-How-to-Avoid-it...
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

You have probably been sending MMS instead of SMS @Anonymous You will be charged for those. Have a look at this thread https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Other-Products-and-Services/Accidental-MMS-Sending-and-How-to-Avoid-it/ba-p/1014132

MMS is Multi Media Message, which includes sending photos or certain emojis. SMS is just ordinary text.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

I to have been charged for text messages. I have an unlimited allowance, have not sent pictures or emjo's....or texts of more than 480,  i.e. the length of 3 standard texts.....I have done no different to any other month....yet this month O2 have billed me £73..... compared to my normal £28, that I never go over....twice I have asked them to look into this and twice all I have been told is we will call you back.....I am still waiting.....less than happy !!!
