Hey all,

I'm looking to get an Apple Watch for my wife, I understand you can use it on another network, but you don't get cellular which is fine, but if it is wifi/bluetooth only, NOTHING from my phone will go to my wifes watch or phone?

thanks

Ryan

Everything will as O2 will set it up to your account.

Buy direct from Apple (on installments if required) and you'll have no such problems. You can even buy the gps only version and save money.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Thanks for the above, But if i was to do it this way, would the apple watch work as a GPS only version if the celluar was turned off on the watch?

It's easier if I do it this way, despite the issues I'm trying to avoid of course.

I just need to know if the Cellular data was turned off and it was only GPS/wifi/bluetooth it'll only get data from the phone it's connected to in that sense?

thanks again

I guess that would work but you'd be paying O2 an extra £5 per month for the data connection which would go unused on top of the cost for the watch.
