I upgraded before lunch and my my phone has dropped over 30% with minimal use. I'm really not impressed - at one point I was watching the battery percentage dropping even though the phone was in my hand. So I've gone from having a phone with reasonable battery life to one that's going to struggle to last the day. Grrrr!
Sorry, I just wanted to have a rant!

My phone seems to be OK today and I think I know what the problem was. When I got home last night I was going through it and I realised it was syncing my photos to iCloud as I had told it to do so when I set up iOS 10. I had thousands on there so it was presumably draining the battery. When it finished doing that it no longer run hot and it's only lost 10% of the charge since 6.30 this morning.
Thanks for all your help.

I've got a 6S. I think everything is OK but to be honest I can't remember how it was set up on iOS 9. I don't think anything is running in background, location services are off (apart from the essentials) and I can't think of anything else. It was fine yesterday so it's got to be something to do with the update.

One of the guys at work did something but I'm not sure what. Silly question but how do I reset the phone without losing everything. I may cry if I do that!

ok before a reset look here https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT201264 and see what is draining the battery
Iphone reset without a wipe is home button and off button 10 seconds until apple logo appears and then let go a bit like a control alt delete in windows loses nothing http://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Apple-iOS-Devices-iPhone-iPad/Iphone-Reset-and-dfu-modes-for-all-versio...

Hi @Harrysmum2008, Let us know how you get on after a restart of your iPhone. My 6S now has iOS 10 and I've not noticed such a difference personally! Hopefully, its just a temporary thing for you

Right, the 3 highest over the last 5 hours are message (20%), home and lock screen (19%) and settings (17%).
On a side note, can someone tell me how to delete a picture from an iMessage I've received? Someone sent me an irritating flashing picture and I can't get rid of it!

I've just done a reset and the battery life jumped by 3% and then started dropping again. It's now on charge as I'm going out tonight and don't want it dying on me.
