Hi 

 

I have an iphone xs max and for some unknown reason my apps are missing and now the screen as gone black with the white swirling icon in the middle as if the phone is rebooting.  Any ideas as what to do ?

 

I have tried to turn the phone off but noy joy.  I have connected the phone to a pc and every now and then the phone pings as if connected to a power lead

 

Please Help !!!

It sounds like the iPhone could be faulty. Have you tried the steps provided by Apple in the first instance:

Press volume up then volume down then hold the power button for 20 to 30 seconds until the Apple logo appears on screen.
