4G Sim Contract

Anonymous
Not applicable
I'm using a Sim Only Contract & using it with an IPhone 5. Because the sim has 4g but the phone isn't compatible with the iPhone5 yet I can only acces the internet & apps when on wifi. Is there anyway I can change the settings to be able to use my packet data? Or will I have to get a new sim or something?

Hi

All new SIM cards are 4g compatible and will work in any phone wether their able to get 4g or not.

Ring 02 on 202 and ensure your on iData settings.

To add :

Check http://status.o2.co.uk if this happens in one area and also try Settings , General , Reset , Reset Network Settings.

Ensure Mobile Data is set to on. Settings , Mobile/Cellular.

Use these settings http://www.geeksquad.co.uk/articles/o2-apn-settings#o2%20iPhone%20APN%20MMS%20mobile%20internet%20se... but you won't get 4G on an iP5 - only 3G.
