Hi I've had my zx2 since April and I've just noticed I hv a crackling when I am on the phone can someone explain why

@Anncbill Maybe the antenna is faulty. Our Sony expert @viridis may know more or you can contact Sony for a repair. Don’t use O2 repairs

It could also be a loose speker connection but @viridis will give you the code to enter to run a diagnostic test on the phone.

Firstly test the speakers by typing *#*#7378423#*#* in the dialler screen, then service tests, speaker tests.
If still blown, boot into safe mode and test then, do this by holding the power button then holding power off until safe mode appears.
Also remove any cases, whilst testing.
If it still does it, power off and remove sim tray, clean sim and reinsert fully.
If this also fails to fix it, the last resort would be a backup using xperia companion, followed by a repair installation of the firmware.
If still not fixed, send to Sony to get if repaired, by logging in to your sonymobile account online and then clicking on support.

@Anncbill Follow the advice above from @jonsie and @viridis. If you cannot rectify the fault, DO NOT send the phone to O2 for repair. Contact Sony support and send it directly to them as advised.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2
