Hi All,

New member here.

I was checking through my downloads section in my phone and noticed a file that I can't open called SmartThings from URL: samsappsbn.vo.llnwd.net

Is this something I should be worried about?

Freaking out at the moment 😞

Cheers

@Geordiedave It's part of the Knox security feature on Samsung phones.

Nothing to worry about at all.

Hi MI5, so samsappsbn.vo.llnwd.net is a safe url?

Sorry for the reassurance needed - I get really anxious when things appear on my phone that I don't know anything about

Yes. It's perfectly safe and required for your phone to function properly.

So how come I can't actually open the file? And I know you said it's for KNOX, but why is it called SmartThings. Sorry, i'm not calling you a liar, I just like to clear it all off in my head 😞

Many files and documents aren't meant to be opened and often come with an error message when you try. If it isn't causing any problems then just leave it alone.

It's not a file that can be opened. It's just part of the operating system.
