Security Updates on Galaxy S7 Edge

Anonymous
Not applicable

I have an o2 Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.

I have not had any software updates / security patches since 1st April 2017.

I believe that there should have been a number of updates since then.

Does anyone have any info on this?

Has anyone been getting software updates/patches?

Odd, there should be 3-4 firmwares since the April update.
Have you tried through the pc software?

Thanks, I thought that was the case.  However when I try and "Download updates manually" I get the message:

"The latest updates have already been installed

Current version: G935FXXU1DQD7/G935FTEF1DQD1/G935FXXU1DQD7"

Is there any way to force it to update to the 'J1' version?

No, I've not tried PC software.  OTA only.

I can give that a try tonight.

Have you rooted or manually flashed any firmwares onto the phone?

No, not rooted or flashed.

I've had updates since I've owned it. It should be all official software versions as any updates have just been OTA software updates

There are ways around this but try PC first.
Read the link I gave above to Sammobile too.
