Hi all.

Please advise. I have just bought a Z Flip which is on O2.

Yet to have it delivered so i cant check.

As its dual sim i wanted to use a Lyca sim in one of the sim slots.

I tried to fill int he form online but kept getting replies either saying there are multiple requests so mine was rejected, or a reply saying it was trejected as my security qstns were incorrect (whohc they are not)

 

Do you know if O2 lock their ANDROID mobiles please?

I read PAYG phoens are always locked but pay monthly phones are UNLOCKED, but my current iphone X bought from carphone warehouse on O2, 2 years ago is locked to O2. So thats quite confusing.

All O2 phones are unlocked.

No, not true as my iphone X is locked to O2.

Bought on O2 contract but through Carphone Warehouse.

Would the fact i bought it from CPW make a difference?

It is true actually since April last year.

Carphone warehouse and iPhones was a different question that has also been resolved now.

Hmmmm, strange as i tied 20 mins ago with my husbands vodafone sim and it wouldnt work.

I just requested my iPhone X to be unlocked through the O2 app on my mobile

You'll still need to request to unlock older phones that are locked. They aren't released automatically, but all new phones from O2, excluding Doro, are already unlocked.
