As title just installed an 8gb card in a mates phone how do you move content off internal to sd card?

I always use a 3rd party file manager such as https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop&hl=en

If it's pictures and stuff like that it's easiest to plug it into a computer and just drag and drop from the internal to sd card
