LG G7 bug since last update

Hey everyone,

I have a bug on my O2 / LG G7 since the last software update.

The fingerprint sensor does not always work to detect fingers placed on it when unlocking the phone.

The screen stays blank and I have to swipe the screen and enter the code instead to get in.

Then I have to go to the menu and disable/enable the finger unlock to get it working properly again.

This happens randomly, couldn't find an exact reason when or why.

Is this the right place to repost this or should this go to LG directly? If yes then where exactly?

Android version: 8.0.0

Software version: V10i-234-10

Security patch level: 1 September 2018

Kernel version: 4.9.65

Thanks in advance!

Hi @ArturS
The first thing anyone will ask you to do is to do a full factory reset.
It's always advisable after a major upgrade anyway, but esp if you have any problems.
Just be sure to back up your personal files first as it will wipe them from the phone.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

Haha, yes, thanks I will try this, but it kinda reminds me of the "I have a problem with Win 95 then please reinstall Win 95" days.
Anyway, things never change. Thanks for the reply. The SD card is safe or should I copy that somewhere too?

SD card is safe but just remove it if at all concerned.
