Randomly, when I'm at home, my phone (Samsung A5 2017). jumps from wifi to 4g, and back again. None of my other devices drop wifi, only my phone. This is costing me data. Not a lot, little by little, it mounts up. According to the information on my phone, I'm on Android 8.

Turn mobile data off. Reboot your Wifi router and see if that improves it.

I know how enable/disable mobile data, but my point is, shouldn't it go to WiFi when in range?

@Robm1955 If you keep your mobile data turned on your phone will seek out the strongest signal.
