I have an account under which I currently pay for my son's number. He wants to set up his own account now but I'm having trouble sorting this out, has anyone else done this and if so can you help

@Jane17

He needs to apply for his own contract and pass the credit checks.

You can then both be on a call to O2 to migrate his old number across.

Guide: Migration & porting into O2

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:

You can change the payment details to his account in My O2

You cannot however change the name on the account from your name

He would have to apply for a contract in his own name and pass the credit check

You can then transfer the number to his account which will automatically end the contract in your name

@Jane17 Your son would have to apply for a new contract, which entails a credit check. If he is successful, you would then have to both call customer service to transfer the phone number into his name.
