Swapping to a esim

I recently brought a Samsung a54 5g.

I used my esim from my old Samsung a52. It's been longer than 24 hours and I get anxious not having a working phone. Can anyone help?

I have switched it on and off but still says emergency calls only.

Thank you in advance for reading and helping.

You can't swap an esim to a different phone with O2.

You need to get a new esim pack for a new phone.

Pop in store with ID or contact customer service.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

Looks like the process, for O2 anyway, may need to use the Sim Swap procedure on your MyO2 or as in here @Susie-m-j14  Guide: Sim Swap: a mini guide 2017 update

This is what makes me think that: Google's new eSIM switch tool makes changing phones easier: Currently, it's not possible to smoothly transfer your eSIM profile from, say, your Samsung Galaxy S22 to the Galaxy S23. To do so, you must first unregister the eSIM profile on the legacy device before reactivating it on the new one. In some cases, you may need to contact your mobile carrier to complete the task. That's finally changing this year, as Google announces the upcoming rollout of eSIM transfer capabilities coming to Android in 2023. https://www.androidpolice.com/android-partnerships-connected-devices-mwc-barcelona/

Perhaps someone here on the forum can elaborate fiurther.
