Hi all,

I recently got a new phone (Wednesday) with O2 (I am transferring from my old SIM which is GiffGaff), due to me being at work I decided to set up my PAC code later.

I rang up O2 Thursday at 9am and provided my PAC code to them. Was a lovely gentlemen and he did everything for me and said my transfer should be done that day. I got a text confirming that they received my request and that I should receive another text confirming my transfer date and an email with the information on it. I can confirm that I received the email but did not receive the transfer text that both my email and the text that I intitial received said I would.

This morning around 9:30 I rang O2 again as the transfer did not happen. The guy I was on the phone with did not really listen to what I was trying to say about not receiving a text confirmation of my transfer date. He was positive and said I had to be patient that it will take place today as it's still in the 24 hour window. My as of wirting this my number still has not transferred over.

I was wondering has anyone had a similar experience of the number transferring problem? Any suggestions would be helpful, I don't know when I should be expecting this transfer text.

If you haven't received the text, the port isn't happening.

I would speak to customer services, and give them the PAC again, as it could be that GiffGaff have rejected the port as the DSP can do.

If you message O2 on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you with this

Thanks
