moved to o2 & luckily o2 ported-in correctly & my number works fully as
normal again.I got told by previous networks that you need an 'account
refresh' by someone that knows what it...
Just call lowell direct & tell them what you've said above & they'll
happily instantly remove the (if any) association with the number
Reassuringly I don't think contact tel numbers are used as credit
checking process but you still don't want it

> Menu > Bills and current charges then under heading online card
payment > saved payment cards.Saves entering card details every time pay
