How do I cancel my contract (it has just rolled over) so I can switch networks?

I'm switching to a SIM only contract with another provider. I've requested a PAC code from O2 and given this to the new network. Is that all I need to do? It says not to call unless urgent due to Covid so feel a bit lost. Thanks
