Yes but @JBL 's point remains. How long was this a known issue, and why
have so many of us been bounced around and taken through pointless
reboots, phone re-installs etc, when it was a known issue all along?

Sadly I've also had this issue for a couple of months, and been bouncing
between Apple and O2 trying to get a fix. I understand that O2 are
investigating, but would be good if they could post regular updates and
any progress.
P.S. I would also add that this is not an issue isolated to a few
phones. My local Apple store is well aware of the issue with iPhone XR
and O2 network, and had seen dozens of examples in the last few weeks
alone.
