This is extremely annoying! My giff gaff PAYG SIM card (also an O2 service) gives about 8mpbs while the O2 card gives 0.5mpbs. This seems like a very dodgy commercial practice. Can I report to OFCOM?

Yes, we are on O2 travel. Maybe a ploy, but seemed more like total igorance - US not great at dealing with foreigners? Now got on to AT&T and working. Mysterious happenings! Thanks again for listening and helping
