Does anyone else think it’s bonkers that we don’t get sight of tariffs until tomorrow?

Just a heads up for everyone as I've just noticed this.

Anyone who bought a XS Max - and presumably other models - last year (myself included) has been totally overcharged by O2.

Why? Because they are charging LESS for the new iPhone 11 Pro Max than they were for the iPhone XS Max despite Apple actually increasing the device price by £50 from last year to this year. So the phone price has gone UP by Apple and gone DOWN by O2. Someone tell me how this is fair?

The example of my own phone:

I got the iPhone XS Max 256GB from O2.

Apple's price = £1,249.00

Price on my O2 contract = £1,407.99

Cost difference between RRP & O2 = £158.99

The new iPhone 11 Pro Max 256GB.

Apple's price = £1,299.00

Price shown on O2 for device on same contract = £1,391.95

Cost difference between RRP & O2 = £92.95

Basically people buying this years model are paying £66.04 LESS for the equivalent device than people paid last year, despite this years model being £50 MORE expensive RRP. What the hell O2?

I assume you were happy with the price when you took the contract so fail to see how you were screwed?
No one is interested in this year's minor upgrades so all networks will have to cut their prices to shift them on.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

less "happy" with the price than simply that was the price take it or leave it... lol

i just find it ridiculous that this years models have jumped up in price yet O2 are charging less for them than last year.

I am now finding myself paying more now for an older - and cheaper-  device, and more for a substantially worse tariff  (20GB vs 90GB offered now for same price) than people buying the new phones. So yeah im a bit *bleep* off tbh weary

You should be fully aware how marketing works. Prices and tariffs change all the time. I fail to see why you feel like this.
