Hi guys,

It's time to begin the latest phase of Try The Tech!

What is Try The Tech?

Try The Tech is where the O2 community team loan out a range of mobile handsets, devices and accessories to community members for a few weeks. This gives participants the chance to get hands on experience of using the device or accessory for a couple of weeks so they can get a proper feel for it and write a review for the benefit of other community members.

You can check out some of the fantastic reviews from the last phase by clicking the links below. We also have an area dedicated to Try The Tech Reviews where you can see the reviews in the blog section.

How do I get involved?

If you wish to participate in Try The Tech all you need to do chose the device or accessory you want to test and send me a private message. Obviously some devices will be more popular then others so I would advise selecting a second preference in case the device your interested in has already been requested.

What are the rules?

We've tried to keep the rules as simple as possible but there are a few things you should be aware of if you want to take part.

  • You will be required to return the device or accessory on request but normally after a 2 week period so that you have enough for a proper test.
  • The devices are tested on the condition that you're able to write a review on the O2 Community so that we know what you think!
  • You will need a valid O2 phone number to participate in Try The Tech.
  • A short summary of your review will be needed as a blog article teaser.

For a more detailed explanation of Try The Tech and most importantly to view the terms and conditions of this program please click here

Please note: This is a popular activity and we are always inundated with applicants, so please let me know asap if you are interested. We also expect high-quality, well-written reviews as a part of this activity. The reviews above are good ones to take inspiration from in terms of structure and content.

As always if you have any questions please ask!

@Martin-O2 would do, but the grief of setting up a new device with no confirmation of O2s data retention policy wouldn't be that beneficial. I have to giggle though, as I've owned most of those over the last 4 years... what is the benefit to the tester/ reviewer? Future role in company/ payment/ other perk? If it was offering testing of the very latest technology I would understand the perk. More of a try before you buy. Users would be more interested in those options, hence a request for an Apple wearable device has already gone your way. I appreciate all the benefits o2 would get from this service, working in for a software company myself slight_smile

@Anonymous The perks are that you get a device from o2 to test out yourself & after 2 weeks, send it back & write a review of the device you tested here in the community
