O2 refresh prices are different though,
S6 from £529
Edge from £739 up to a whopping 849 device cost
I don't think many would put a £150-250 premium on bent glass.

Thats a lot of money for the innovation....:smileysad:

Yup and the process costs.......

.......$25 per thermoform (the technical name for bending the glass)
The upshot of this is not only cosmetic, as a side effect the glass becomes harder than bane on steroids and is damn near impossible to bend thanks to the reinforcement.
Add in the cost difference in the actual display and I'd go for manufacturing costs of $50-70 (£35-50) over the S6.
Not a bad money spinner.

I now have more info on physics...Thermoform = Bending glass....

Crikey, sounds like a delicate bit of work to me. :smileywink:....Going to ask the specialist at my hospital if he can do a bit of thermoforming ....on my back

Looking forward to this handset, but a little bit peeved that we get a fitbit free instead of a far more useful charging pad/case combo from everybody else!

ALSO, ive got the option of taking on a business contract instead of a consumer one, do we reckon itd be a bit cheaper?
