Good morning (just!) everybody!

As some of you may have seen, and for those who haven't yet, Samsung have announced that their first 'Unpacked' event of the year will be at Barcelona on Feb 21st and with them using the hashtag #TheNextGalaxy in their video title, it's not difficult to imagine what this new product will be, but what could be tricky is guessing exactly what new tech or changes & improvements we'll see.

As some of you know, i'll be out at Barcelona for MWC. Typically these events are difficult to be a part of if not a member of press but I've been lucky enough to have secured an invite to this, so i'll be live updating everyone on this new device as and when it happens, in person - Hopefully i'll be able to snap some exclusive photos for the O2 Community too showing the device in all its glory.

Placeholder specsheet below - will be updated in as real-time as can be:
CPU: Octacore - 2.3GHz Quad & 1.6GHZ Quad
MEMORY: 4GB RAM / 32GB Internal / Up to 200GB microSD expandable
DISPLAY: 5.1" QHD sAMOLED for S7 / 5.5" QHD sAMOLED for S7 Edge
CAMERA: 12mp f1.7 rear / 5mp f1.7 front
BATTERY: 3000mAh for S7 / 3,600mAh for S7 Edge

Features
1. Water resistance - IP68
2. Fast charging - 95min wired & 130min wireless for S7 / 115min wired & 150min wireless for S7 Edge
3. Always on display - uses <1% battery per hour to give you your notifications on an always-on display

What you think folks? Looking forward to the next Galaxy? Already got your upgrade plans sorted?

Facebook heavily invested in Gear vr, (now you know why they bought oculus) and bringing social vr apps to Samsung exclusively

Speaking with the Samsung guys here, I'm told that it will be the SD820 CPU for Asian and European markets. I'll do my best to verify over next few hours/days. They weren't able to shed any light on the Exynos I'm afraid.

Keep an eye on our shop pages for tariffs and offers folks slight_smile

Edit: Exynos confirmed for UK market slight_smile

That's disappointing, unlike previous split cpu territories, the difference between 820 and the 8890 is huge
