Hey all,
We see some of you have already spotted this but we wanted to confirm that the TU Go app & service will be ending on 30th November. We’ll be notifying all customers that have the TU Go app about this from today, Tuesday 17th October, through to Friday 20th October.
While TU Go is ending, we’re continuing to offer alternative calling options for our customers. More information can be found here. As VoWifi (Voice over Wifi, part of our Wifi and 4G calling capabilities) continues to develop, we’re working with our vendors to expand the selection of handsets that we offer with Wifi and 4G calling capabilities. A full list of currently supported devices can be found here, where we will also add future devices when they’re available.
If the device you’re currently using doesn’t support Wifi and 4G calling, you can check the My O2 app or get in touch with our customer service team (202 from an O2 Pay Monthly mobile, 8002 from O2 Business mobile) to see what upgrade options are available to you.
We recommend that all TU Go users make copies of any stored messages or images that they have saved on the TU Go app, as the app won’t be accessible from 1 December.
A thank you
We know that some of our O2 Community members helped test the TU Go app during beta trials and provided varied and fantastic feedback which helped our team shape the app, add new features and fix any bugs. We hope you’ve enjoyed using TU Go, and again want to thank anyone from the O2 Community that helped us.
More information on the closure of TU Go can be found here: https://www.o2.co.uk/apps/tu-go

The potential savings by now charging customers overseas to call family and friends over Christmas and new year will be enormous. Those calls are never 5 minute calls but at £1.50/min they certainly will be unless someone can teach grandma how to install WhatsApp or Skype. Nice move O2.

Unfortunately it's the way businesses have begun to operate....cheap and cheerful independent airlines started it, I believe......eg Ryanair and easyJet....you want a seat ?...we charge for it; you want to take a suitcase ?....we charge for it.
Why give something for free when you can charge for it as an extra service and even better, you can keep increasing the price of it each year.
Imagine in the future buying a TV....you'll need to add a digital tuner to that Sir; would Sir like a cabinet to enclose all the digital technology ?

My idea is that O2 do the right thing and do not discontinue TuGo this November to ensure those customers with problems regarding poor signal strength or not left in the lurch at the end of November - some of us have no signal in our homes and are unable to access 3G leave alone 4G externally and rely on TuGo for both business and personal use .
DO THE RIGHT THING O2

Merry Christmas O2 - if you continue this riduculous notion to close TuGo this November i am afraid its the last time i will be able to wish you the seasons greetings as i shall be offer after many years.

I'm not sure it qualifies as am idea because O2 won't change their mind.
However it's a good idea in principle.....

take a great feature and toss it to one side. Why have 02 now, Skype is on its way on to my tables and PC.
Just wrong.

I will be comparing deals with all the other networks and then take the best deal. I don't use Priority so absolutely no reason to stay with a network that cares diddly for existing customers

Please explain the logic behind stopping TU. In this part of the world phone signals are erratic for all suppliers and TU has been a great service, which made O2 look good. I cannot understand what you hope to gain - and you will surely lose by stopping it.
