O2’s extra data Bolt Ons now rollover, giving you more time to use your data – whatever your tariff
O2 sim only customers will get 50% extra data on selected Pay & Go, Pay Monthly and Mobile Broadband sims
Today, we at O2 announce two new ways for you to get more data, whatever tariff you’re on.
From today, all O2’s extra data Bolt Ons will rollover any unused data to the following month. This means anyone who buys one of the Bolt Ons, which give between 100MB and 2GB of extra data, will be able to use it fully even if your monthly bundle of minutes, texts and data resets before it’s used. Also, customers who want to have extra data when they need it the most can use O2’s extra data Bolt Ons that now make it even easier to stay in control of your data use.
It’s data time
Meanwhile, throughout February and March O2 is offering 50% extra data to you if you take one of a range of selected Pay & Go, Pay Monthly, and Mobile Broadband tariffs, whether you’re a new customer joining O2 or an existing customer upgrading your tariff. The offers could see you getting up to 5GB extra data per month for no additional cost. And with both 30 day and 12 month Pay Monthly tariffs included in the offer, as well as O2’s Big Bundles Pay & Go tariff, wanting extra data doesn’t mean having less flexibility.
“Our customers have told us how much they value having complete control of their data, including Bolt Ons, so we’re proud to keep giving them more with O2,” said Nina Bibby, O2’s Consumer and Marketing Director. “By bringing our customers more data, we want to make sure they can browse, update and share whenever they like.”
O2 will now offer Pay Monthly customers a range of extra data Bolt Ons, giving the ability to add between 100MB and 2GB to your data bundle if your data runs low. From today, any data left in your Bolt On at your billing period will rollover into your next month’s bundle.
For example, if you buy an additional 1GB data but only use 500MB before the end of your billing period will get the leftover 500MB added to your next month’s data bundle, benefitting from all the data you’ve bought – no matter when it’s used.

Looks good @Toby
My question is, what happens after March?
Meanwhile, throughout February and March O2 is offering 50% extra data to you if you take one of a range of selected Pay & Go, Pay Monthly, and Mobile Broadband tariffs, whether you’re a new customer joining O2 or an existing customer upgrading your tariff.
I realise the offer is for people who add bolt ons between the dates shown.

@Toby does this mean that the data allowance i have now will roll over if i have any left
I take it that it's for new tariffs or for purchasing bolt ons. Ordinary allowance won't roll over.

So as I read it when you get cut off data for 100% usage in a month you then buy the Extra data bolt-on instead of it being reset at bill production date it carries over to be used at end of that data period .
Sounds good but would be better if all monthly unused data carried over for one month at least (like business calls and text did) as you are paying each month for a data allowance (incorporated into the monthly tariff) #just saying
