Wait out your contract and leave if you want to.

@Anonymous wrote:I agree. Please tell us asap what penalties we might incur if we opt not to be 'migrated' to Sky. An apology on the part of O2 would be useful too since I will be spending my valuable time trying to decide what my best future option is.
You would have to pay off any outstanding balance in the normal way.
I don't know why you should get an apology though, for what?
It might help to wait until more info is there to give you a better idea of what to do.

Hi joypip,
Your contract will not change, so any of the conditions on your contract will still apply. When I receive more details I shall let you know.
Keep posted on the FAQ page (link below) for more information, as well as on this thread.

It is very clear why O2 should be apologising to us and if you cannot understand I will not waste time explaining.

You will be given all the information when it's available:
"We expect the deal to be finalised soon, subject to Regulatory Approval and certain other conditions. We will then be moving your home broadband and (if you have O2 home phone) your landline to Sky, but this won't happen until later this year.
You'll get plenty of notice when it is time for your service to be switched over."

They have made a decision to sell part of their business, they don't need your approval to do that,
