I have a couple of questions now I have received my letter.
1. If you are on the legacy package, is there a like for like alternative with SKY (and I don't mean just speed). If not then will customers have the opportunity to cancel their contract, regardless of time remaining. I understand O2 have the right to sell their business and customer base but if services change then this is a different scenario.
I see that O2 email will be migrated and you can still use the O2 email address but you get a reduced size mailbox, so we're already seeing the shape of things to come with service delivery differences.
2. There is no mention about the discount for O2/Mobile customers, how will this work. Will it continue or cease?
I appreciate there might be many more questions but i'm surprised O2 have not added these simple but relevant queries to the list. It's no good saying nothing will change for now, I like many people want answers now so we can start to make decisions. We don't all just sit on the web typing, some of us have families to consider!
Whoever agreed the initial Q and A list here has undoubtedly no idea about migrating and the questions people really need answering and most are ambiguous. http://www.o2.co.uk/broadband/broadbandchanges
I don't want to sound negative but so far it all reads a little amateurish.

My letter from O2 arrived this morning.
It's now wait & see time, I'm not even thinking about jumping ship until the Sky package offer to us is actually officially announced so I can decide my options.
There is also far to much misinformation & hearsay on this forum posted by other users.

Can't see how it could continue post-migration really, O2 won't want to be giving customers of Sky a mobile phone discount.

Is that not in it self a breech of contract by o2 ?
Many o2 mobile customers based their decision to take an o2 BB contract on the "value for money" that the discount gave !

O2 are not breaking any contracts.
You discount will continue at least while you're still an O2 customer, so in theory up to a year, once you sign up with Sky you will probably be cut off from anything from O2.
That will then be your decision, whether to join Sky or leave as you would now.
I will sit it out for now and make my decision when Sky make me an offer, I will not allow a situation which removes that choice.
