Hey everyone,

O2 is teaming up with Mumsnet and the NSPCC to host a panel discussion on child welfare and keeping kids safe online this Wednesday. The panel will consist of the following attendees.

Carrie Longton (Mumsnet chair) - Carrie will be a familiar face as she presented last year's O2/NSPCC online safety one. She's a great fit for this as she has three teenage children so lots of experience with the kind of questions that will be discussed.

Gaby Roslin - Gaby is a respected presenter and broadcaster, working on Channel 4’s The Big Breakfast and presenting Children in Need alongside Terry Wogan for many years. She has 2 daughters, aged 17 and 12.

Jo Elvin - Jo is the Editor of You magazine and the former Editor of Glamour. She is also the co-host of the podcast Is It Just Me?, where each week a celebrity guest comes on to debate their weirdest and funniest dilemmas - covering topics from from social media to mental health. She hads a 12 year old daughter.

Tony Stower - Tony is Head of Child Safety Online at the NSPCC, working to give information and tools to adults to help children keep themselves safe, while influencing the government and social networks to improve protections for children online.

Tapiwa Takawira - Tapiwa is an O2 Guru, who are experts in family tech and parental controls. They’ll help you pick out your kid’s first phone, set it up, and give you advice on how they should use it. Together with our NSPCC team, you’ll always have someone to talk to about keeping your kids safe online.

The discussion will cover a range of issues that children could encounter online and some helpful advice for parents in the digital age along with tips and advice on helping children take their first steps towards online independence.
