Hi folks,
With the Christmas season soon approaching, many of us like to get presents and gifts well in advance. If you’re like me we have great news! This year O2's Black friday sale includes price crashes and great deals that will make your 2015 Christmas shopping cheaper and easier than ever before.
O2 is inviting customers to choose their price for more than 70 top products this Friday, giving them the chance to get high end products like the Samsung Galaxy S6 for a pound or even less. O2 is also discounting a huge selection of phones, tablets, smartwatches, fitness bands and other accessories as part of its Black Friday sale.
Crashing prices
O2’s Price Crash, live throughout Friday 27 November at http://www.o2.co.uk/pricecrash, will give customers the chance to get their hands on a plethora of mobile technology at a price they choose. Throughout the day, new items will be added to Price Crash and their prices will start tumbling. Once the price reaches a level a customer wants to pay, they can stop the crash and buy the item immediately. With no reserve prices in place, prices for top tech like the HTC One M9 and Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 could drop all the way down to £1, with most items even qualifying for free delivery.
Other sale savings
As well the O2 Price Crash, O2 is also offering savings of up to 50% on a range of phones, tablets, smartwatches, fitness bands and other accessories in their Black Friday sale: http://www.o2.co.uk/black-friday-cyber-monday. Included in the sale is the Ultimate Ears Boom at £84.99 – half price – while the HTC M9 is available with £120 off.
O2’s Black Friday sale starts at 9pm on Thursday 26 November.

Not answering for Rich of course but it appears this promotion eventually got underway (for some) yesterday Jane... I do know from the O2 twitter feed ...that there were very many angry disappointed customers about..:smileysad: I doubt any form of compensation will be offered....

Doubt they could offer any compensation at all. How would they work it all out? Not everyone would have been wanting one of the offers and how could they be sure just who did?

But there is a thread, big launch, how disrespectful of the team here on the O2 Community forum ... truly I can't get my head round it

Are O2 getting involved in Cyber Monday? It would be a good chance to gain some of the goodwill already lost on the very Black Friday for their customers.

Sorry to hear you feel that way Jane @Anonymous . Due to our patterns of work, we were not online at the time of the update. We always try and be as transparent as we can with info here on the community, but missed this update unfortunately

@Toby having sent a tweet to the o2 twitter account they made no mnetion of the fact it was/wasn't run again on Saturday, so not sure you have missed anything.
From my point of view it is frustrating that there is a big push for any activity (promo sale, or priority or anything) and it fails massively - this is only one example, the Star Wars priority stuff is another great example.
If something exceptional activity or event is happening, with the furore around anything Black Friday or sale wise o2 should realise there will be a high level of demand and make sure the appropriate measures are taken to ensure it happens with a minimum of disruption.
I don't think there is an easy way to get this right - don't publicise it and be accused of not advertising, but advertise and not handle correctly and also get criticised...
Please note, this is not customer services and we cannot access your account. Do not publish personal details (email, phone number, bank account).

It's a crying shame for a company that was once so innovative. They are let down by poor IT support. They won website of the year, how did that happen when they can't deal with a Black Friday campaign. Priority....enough said.
