Hi all,
I'd like to welcome one and all to the O2 Community! Its a great place to get advice, post your feedback and talk about your ideas for the network. If you have a question that you need some advice on, head over to the devices section or the other products and services section. You can also get rewarded for helping others as well chat about anything you like in the off-topic section.
I'm Toby, the community coordinator of the forum. I also work with Marjo who is the head of community and Marina who is also a community coordinator like me. I've been working on the community since August 2012. It's been great so far and I look forward to hearing from many more of you
If you have any questions about the forum, suggestions or just want to have chat, please don't hesitate to give me a shout.
Hope to speak soon!
Toby

Hey, thanks for the welcome
I actually came here seeking help as I've had the unfortunate experience of getting duped into a contract by Aerial Direct who seem to be pretty notorious on these boards! I've contacted one of the admins regarding my experience so just waiting on further developments.
For any forum member who doesn't know who Aerial Direct are, they are a 'business partner' of O2. They essentially phone you up when your contract is close to renewal and ask if you want to extend/renew your O2 contract. What they don't tell you is that if you agree, they take over the management of your contract meaning that if you call O2 to see about getting an upgrade/renewal you're out of luck because O2 have no right to your contract anymore.
Avoid Aerial Direct at all costs! After this experience, if anyone phones me up regarding my phone contract I'm going to tell them where to get off! I actually find it very disappointing that O2 are breaching the trust of their customers by sharing their account details with shady companies, sadly it seems they are happy to take short-term financial gain over brand image...

Yes we know Aerial have a bad reputation (from posts on here certainly) A lesson to all I think. Personally I would NEVER sign up to a phone contract from a cold caller. ....but this is only what I have learnt from being a member of this forum.:smileywink:
