How time flies. It feels like only a couple of months ago when England Rugby won the Autumn Nations Cup
Now though, it's time for the team to face a new challenge. Check out the fixture date and times for the upcoming Six Nation matches.
Our cheers might be shaking sofas instead of stadiums, but it's time to pull on your England Rugby shirt with even more pride. Tomorrow we finally kick off 2021 with the Guinness Six Nations. And on the O2 Community we thought we'd have a bit of fun with this one.
Challenge time!
Each Friday before the match, we'll get you to give us your best predictions and we'll have a scoring system. So at the end of the Six Nations we'll then tally up the leaderboard and we'll see who the #1 England Rugby fan is on the O2 Community. Ohh and we might even have a little something-something for the winner ;-).
The Challenge
BEFORE kick off each week, predict what the final score will be for the England Rugby team. Here's the scoring:

Listening to the commentary now, they played damn well.
"Thank you @EnglandRugby and @FranceRugby for a great spectacle today. Breathless game that was a joy to watch"

If my calculations are correct, then the scoring for the England vs France game is as follows:
Mi-Amigo = 7 score differential = 10 points
MI5 = 3 score differential = 15 points
Cleoriff = 10 score differential + correct opposing score = 10 points + 15 point bonus
Jonsie = 3 score differential = 15 points
So if my math is correct, the leaderboard is now as follows
Member | Score |
Cleoriff | 45 |
MI5 | 35 |
jonsie | 20 |
Mi-Amigo | 20 |
gmarkj | 10 |
It's pretty tight up top between @MI5 and @Cleoriff but there's still everything to play for. @gmarkj unlucky for missing your prediction, but if in this weekends final game you predict the exact score of both England and Ireland, that would give you 35 points - and if Cleoriff scores no new points, it'd put you in a draw... Random number generator name out of a hat at that point, so you're still in the running!

I don't understand the algorithm at all @Chris_K
I actually was the only person who put England to win. (So would think that gave me a head start Lol)
I also fluked the correct score for France.
If I'm being honest, I thought I would be topping the leaderboard.

Sorry @Cleoriff, I missed the fact you got the 15 bonus for correctly guessing the opposing teams final score too. I'll update this ASAP, but you're right - that puts you in the lead... Thanks for correcting me!

All updated now and hopefully correct - if somebody could sanity check my dodgy math abilities?
