Small phones. BIG phones. Phones for photography. Phones for just calling & texting. These days every new phone seems to be about dual camera systems, fancy displays and super fast whatchamacallits. But what if all you’re after is a mobile phone – for, you know… just phoning or texting people?

Whether you’re looking for an additional basic phone, a phone to take to a festival without fear of ruining your fancy smartphone, or simply to get an easy-to-use phone for a relative, the Doro 805 Primo could be exactly what you’re after. And at just £1.99 from O2 stores when purchased with a £20 top-up, it might be even cheaper than using one of these things – if you can find one, that is.

So, what does £1.99 get you?
These days – not much. You might just about be able to buy:

  • A cheap sandwich for lunch
  • A coffee (for £1.99, forget about a large Americano – it’ll be a small!)
  • A short bus/underground journey
  • 8 Freddo bars (but only if you find an extra penny)

Or for only £1.99 you can get the Doro Primo 805 which features:

  • A clear 2.4″ display in a flip-phone design
  • Stay in touch, simply. With separated direct dial keys, call, text or send photos to friends & family with ease
  • Leave the charger at home. With a standby time of up to 19 days, it’s always ready to use
  • With loud and clear sound, hear everything the first time

Want one?
If you’re looking to get your hands on this no fuss, simple, reliable phone then head to your nearest O2 store and you can get yours for just £1.99 when purchased with a £20 top-up. Find your nearest O2 store here: http://o2.uk/StoreLocator

Want to win one?

We'll need an extra phone now with the loss of Tugo but not sure if this has the required street cred?
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

I can almost guarantee* that if you were in a crowded room and everyone had an iPhone or Samsung, and you brought this Doro out of your pocket, people would be more interested in your phone than anyone elses 😉

*not a guarantee

I'd prefer TU but a novelty phone to get people talking? Yeah why not!
Presumably this will be on the classic tariff or will there be a special one?

I would still choose one of these over an iPhone Fear

I was sent the link by Marjo so heres my entry. Hope its the right place to enter

Id like to give one to my neighbour’s student, g’daughter. Lu.

Lu's phone and bag on the day of the Barcelona bombing Lu had her bag & phone stolen in the mayhem. Someone let her phone her Gran to say she was safe & coming home, Lu had no means to buy a phone; keep in  touch re travel; get food or drink. NOr speak to some one about the terror or report her losses inc bank cards.

If she’d had a spare phone in her hotel room everything would have been different.

Gran did meet her but had to wait 4 hours late at night at a dark station until he last train from the Airport came in with Lu on it.. Gran could have been spared that wait if Lu had had a spare phone.

Excellent idea for a spare phone @Jenny105. As you say having one back in her room would have saved a lot of stress. Thanks for posting wink
