Hey everyone,

It's Friday afternoon and time for another Community spotlight! This time around the spotlight is on @adamtemp64! Adam has been a Community member since 2008 and has been a regular member for a lot of that time. Surprisingly he's not done a spotlight before so I'm super happy to post this one!!

We have asked a selection of questions that adamtemp64 has kindly answered below. cool

What’s your name and where are you from?

Adam Temperton originally from south London now from south somerset

What brought you to the forum?

The fact that the advice is from other customers and unbiased.

What was your first ever mobile device?

My first mobile was in 1995 a CM-R111 from sony on Cellnet.

Apple, Android or Windows?

Apple since Symbian business phones ERICSSON / Sony Ericsson many incarnations.

If you could have a conversation with any famous person, dead or alive who would it be and why?

Guglielmo Marconi because with out his discoveries none of use maybe using mobile phones.

Favourite movie/TV show/actor?

Tv show is ncis.

Favourite food?

Retire and help others.

What are your tastes in music?

Mainly the 80”s.

Future developments in mobile tech your looking forward to?

The full integration of devices across manufacturers and os I.E. neutral.

Besides the Community, what do you get up to in your spare time?

Mainly the internet theses days with a sprinkling of F1, Moto Gp , Drinking real ale down the local, Watching most sports in the pub . But before the internet and hence my knowledge of the radio spectrum I was an active amateur radio user hence my Twitter username and car registration  G1TWB. In those days I was using vhf and uhf radio for voice early data (packet radio) and even tv broadcasting and on one of my dual band handsets  144 MHz  / 432 MHz full duplex conversations back in the days before hand held mobile phone but with 2 hours battery life lol who remembers the Tomorrow’s world programme  . Now all the things we did on amateur radio we now can do over the www and on our mobile phones.

Thanks Adam! If anyone has any follow up questions post them below. wink

Great spotlight Adamtemp64. As I'm not one of the'old lags' it was nice to learn a little more about you and your interests.

Good to see you like NCIS. I'm a big fan of the show; the show it was born from, JAG, and the spin offs, Los Angeles and New Orleans.

You like 80s music, any particular groups or singers? I'm more into 60s/70s but there was some good 80s music.

Lover of all things Samsung. Currently using Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus 128gb
